Since I’ve been at school I’ve been doing more knitting, so I decided to give knitting with multiple colors a try, so this is my first try at fair isle knitting. Maintaining a constant tension was a little more difficult now that there were two strands if yarn involved so it was a little uneven, but it turned out alright. I appreciate that the two colors makes the hat a little thicker. It was a little annoying to have to get the second color to not be floating around once I got to the later parts of the hat when I was using the white yarn less.
I still have a decent amount of yarn left so hopefully I can make another one. I’m in the middle of working on a few sewing projects because I’ve finally found the sewing machines at school. Those will be posted once I finish them! Maybe I’ll also be able to make a few things while I’m home over spring break next week! We’ll see.
