Day 19: Corsages

Today I spent the morning finishing up the zipper on my graduation dress. After that I had to start getting my room ready for the corsage making party I had with my friends because I had to move a lot of furniture around and make sure I had all of my tools ready.

First we went to the craft store and we got flowers and other supplies. Then I sewed some elastic into a loop and onto some stiff felt for everybody and we started putting together our corsages. If anybody else is looking to host their own corsage party I highly recommend that you get several hot glue guns. I also could not resist the temptation to hide a tiny chicken in mine. I also used a lot of the leftover beads from my prom dress.

Since we used fake flowers it’s nice because now we all have a little memento that we can keep instead of having to throw away a bunch of wilting flowers. I have pretty small wrists so I kept my corsage more compact but it was interesting to see how everybody’s turned out.

I think this still technically counts as SOptions because it’s part of my prom ‘outfit’.

Today I worked from 9 am-5:30 pm (8 and a half hours).
